Inspiring Kindness at
Idlewood Elementary School

in Tucker, GA

On May 2, 2018, Mr. John Lynch of the Lunch With Lynch Foundation introduced the #ThumbsUp4Kindness program to the 3rd grade students at Idlewood Elementary School in Tucker, Ga.

Mr. Lynch who graduated from Idlewood in 1975 was honored to kick off the ThumbsUp program at his Alma mater.  He spoke about the power of Paying it Forward and positive outcome of Random Acts of Kindness towards their family, friends, school and community.

Special guests included, Ms. Sally Hale a retired 3rd grader teacher who taught at Idlewood for over 25 years and current 3rd grade teacher Ms. Charmaine Benson. Mr. Lynch's sister, Mrs. Patricia Dewitt and his good friend Keith Sapp, both Idlewood graduates, will act as Lunch With Lynch #ThumbUp4Kindness Ambassadors for the school.

Every student received a ThumbsUp4Kindness wristband and 12 lucky students were rewarded with a $10.00 Chick-Filet-A gift card. Mr. Lynch surprised all the  teachers and students (all 208 of them) at the end of his presentation with a special surprise. The Lunch with Lynch Foundation will treat the entire 3rd grade class with an end of the school year Chick-Filet-A kindness luncheon in their honor.

We would like to thank all the 3rd grade teachers and their students for welcoming us back to our school. We are proud to Idlewood Mustangs!

Can you find Mr. Lynch, he said he was the tallest student in 7th grand and had funny looking glasses :-)

Mr. Lynch would like to give a shout out to Mr Jack Lavender (retired) who was a great role model and the school's first principal and to Mr. Henry Doar, our beloved PE teacher (deceased) and a World War II hero.
